In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Switzerland saw varied performances across top apps, as revealed by Sensor Tower's data.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 9.5K at the beginning of October and peaking at 10.5K by the end of December. The app also maintained an active user base, growing from 111K to 151K over the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, with a significant jump to 10.9K in the final week of December. Active users showed a slight upward trend, reaching nearly 48K by the end of the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw its downloads increase from 1.9K to 3.4K throughout the quarter. Active users also grew, starting at 98K and ending at 111K.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a modest increase in downloads, peaking at 1.3K in the last week of December. The app's active user count remained stable around 12K to 13K.

Finally, Careem – rides, food & more showed a gradual rise in downloads, with a notable increase to 1.1K in the week before Christmas. Its active user base fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter at around 4K.
